Saturn Parkway is a culmination of original songs in the style of alternative and original power pop music reminiscent of the bands from the era of The Pretenders, The Clash, Australian Crawl to Guns and Roses and Joe Walsh. Rick Dracup is the main songwriter and guitarist for the band and has shared stages alongside INXS, Till Tuesday, The Producers , Bryan Adams and other 80′s bands while in Boulder Bands the Blitz Girls and The Pedestrians. Rick has also studied under Phil Spector arranger Dennis Woodrich and toured around Australia and the U.S. extensively with both Australian and American Acts. Rome Evans second guitarist and co producer has played in local Nashville bands such as the Black Lemons and has spent many years in bar bands playing the southern circuit.
Originally from Australia, Rick moved to Nashville to pursue performing and songwriting to play to audiences all over the Middle Tennessee area.
Rick’s influences include classic rock greats Johnny Winter, Andy Summers, Carlos Santana and other present day commercial guitarists. Rick’s vocal abilities provide a wide ranging tenor with a blues infusion.
The band’s first release to iTunes and consistent placement in the top 10 on the Reverb Nation Alternative Charts for Nashville have won many fans worldwide and the band continues to grow that fan base.
